Miracle Mile Medical Center participates in many research studies and
clinical trials. The purpose of participation is to assist with advancements in
the medical field.
An important study currently being conducted is the FlexiCore Disc
Replacement Study.
Current Studies
FlexiCore Disc Replacement Trials are being held at Miracle Mile
Medical Center in conjunction with the Valley Spine Center
The government requires that new devices by investigated for safety and
effectiveness before they can be released. This study is designed to determine
if symptom relief provided by the FlexiCore Disc is better, inferior or the same
as fusion surgery.
The study will also determine if patients with the FlexiCore Disc have motion of their vertebrae compared with patients undergoing fusion (who have very little or no motion at the fusion site).
