Dr. Micheal Safir is a board-certified Urologist with specific expertise in reconstructive Urology and currently practices at Miracle Mile Medical Center. Dr. Safir is a graduate of Northwestern University Medical School where he completed his urological residency and was a member of the Honors program in Medical Education. He later completed fellowships in Urological Trauma, Reconstructive Surgery as well as Female Urology at University of California, San Francisco (“UCSF”) and University of California, Los Angeles (“UCLA”) medical schools respectively.

Dr. Safir has been the recipient of many awards acknowledging his dedication and innovative expertise including Pfizer’s Scholars in Urology award for “Leadership, Innovation and Outstanding Achievement” and the Dr. Susan Pearlman award from the Northwestern Women’s Physicians’ Association for “Academic Excellence, Special Leadership Skills and Compassion for Patients”.

 

He has authored many scientific papers and is the author of chapters in urological surgery in surgical text books. Dr. Safir has served as Assistant Professor of Urology and was the Section Chief of Reconstructive and Female Urology at New York Medical College. He has also served as an instructor for the American Urological Association during which time he has shared his success and techniques in the art of urinary and pelvic reconstructive surgery to other urologists and gynecologists.

 

Dr. Safir is an upstanding member of the Society for Urodynamics and Female Urology as well as the American Urological Association.
